Default Bob Ripley's Hurricane-April RC Report

Just got my RC Report delivered and was pleasantly surprised to see RCU member Bob Ripley's Hurricane on the cover. Congratulations Bob! Great picture, super airplane and thanks for sharing the building process with us on RCU.

Default Jennifer & Hurricane

It shocked the heck out of me and my bride when Gordon sent back a mockup of a R/C Report's cover lay out. We were tickled pink, to say the least. Jennifer (daughter #1 and the model holding my model) was thrilled even though she thought her eyes were too squinty.

Thank you for your very kind words.

Congratulations Bob. The picture is great, the model looks great and the model holding the model looks even better.

I got my copy of RC Report yesterday. Nice job Bob!

What's all that white stuff in the picture? A flour truck explode on your yard?

Default Snow

Snow is pretty ONCE but loses it's appeal quickly.

Temperature the day of the photo shoot: 19 degrees F.

Number of shots with digital camera to get that one good one: 12

Comments made to mother from shaking daughter afterwards concerning the over all intelligence of her dad: PRICELESS

Ha HA HA... If I were responsible for holding that beauty of an airplane and not dinging it I'd be shaking too-but it wouldn't be from the cold.

Default Hurricane

Hey, Now I know what you guys are talking about. I finally got my copy of R/C Report yesterday. Only a week later after JD Hammer got his copy. I guess it pays to be closer to the source of distribution.

Great looking "kite" Bob.

Default Congrats

Congrats Bob must be cool to get yer picture on the cover. not quite as nice as having it on the cover of the rolling stone hehehe but just as cool anyways.

On another note I am curious if anyone gets high flight mag? I am trying to see if someone might have it and could scan and send me the article on detailing the Hurricane in the winter 2002 edition. It never hurts to collect as much reference as you can I got all the pics and notes from Bobs thread too hehe

Default the mail ?

Tailskid,

You mean you don't get yours delivered personal from Gordon?

I'll never understand how they handle bulk mailing. I guess it took longer for my mail guy to read it before it could be delivered.

LOL

Maddog,

You know I think its that Norwegian town you live in. The Lutefisk slows everyone down. I live 8 miles from you and get my about a week and a half ahead of you.
