Has anyone ever heard of a kit or of anyone scratch building one of these ugly ducklings? The reason I ask is that my dad owned one before (serial number 11) and I would like to get my hands on one. They were ugly out of the water but nice on floats. Apparently they are starting to manufacture them again, so once again my interest was piqued as to if anyone had ever made an RC version of this unique plane.

There is a Found parked at the local floatplane base. I've thought about doing a Found many times. But every time I consider it I come to the conclusion it is just to UGLY!! One of David Boddington's English scale magazines had a free plan for a small one, and I think Walt Mooney had plans for a free flight one.
If you built one it would never crash cause the earth would repel something so ugly. (seriously I think it would make a great floatplane but I have standards to keep.)

I have never experienced the joy of beholding a "FOUND", but alas, I have felt the stinging sorrow of a "LOST".

What the heck does a "found" look like? If you will post a picture, I promise to view it thru a mirror, over my right shoulder, after dark only!

Seriously, show it to us.
Thanks R. C.

The Found is back in production as the Found Bush Hawk. A rose by any other name is still.....UGLY! Try www.foundair.com . If you wanted to build a scale model that would reflect badly on this hobby the Found would do it. I think it would match the public perception of what a "toy airplane" looks like. The only airplane uglier than a Found would be a Pilatus Turbo Porter. Thats my .02 worth.

Looks like a C182 mated with a DH Beaver and this is what you got.

If you think that is ugly, look at these planes - but only in small doses. http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...highlight=ugly

THe Northrop raider - on that page - is on display at the Air Force Museum..
