Keith - can you share where or how you acquired your ARC version? I'm looking for a 90+" ARC Sportster Y but only have found the PAM 97" ARF. PAM has not been responsive with selling me an ARC version. I will build from kits or scratch build but have only found AMA / Haffke plans from the 70s and I'm not sure about these foam core kits from Devine.
thanks - Jack

Sorry for slow reply Jack. I did get this from PAM when they first came out with it in 2005. I called them, and they said they had a few ARC's. For your info, I didn't get much of break on cost for the ARC version vs. ARF. I don't know of any other 90+" versions available. You could always get the Ikon N'West kit and have it built for you, but that would probably cost more than just getting the PAM ARF and taking the covering off.

Good luck!

Ketih

I've got the 82" version, got it when they first came out, can't remember when that was. Stuck a Moki 1.8 on the front, put the servos in the wing bay to eliminate excess wt in the tail, pull pull on the rudder and a Cirrus Ventures tail wheel (no pant). One of the most honest flyers I own, point it tilt it let go of it and it stays there, fast when the Moki is wide open and slows down like a trainer to land. 32 oz tank, Mokies are thirsty buggers but its European and designed to run on FAI fuel (no nitro ) and mine loves it. Kinda like having a Vette that runs on regular. Happy landings, Doc. On power, if enough is good, more is better, and too much should be seriously considered.

Thanks for the feedback Keith. My issue with "de-covering" is the residue left on the airframe but will just have to deal with that....I'll try PAM again for an ARC or just buy the ARF.
BTW - saw the other post about using a Moki on the 82" - I've got a DA-50 to hang onto the 96". Hoping for less than 20 lb flying weight..
cheers - Jack
