It's good to thin the first coat,, and put it on as thin as possible,
Typically you just want to get it to stick to the wood on the first coat, then sand very lightly and apply the second fill coat.
Apples and Oranges??
Remember to thin Epoxy resin with alcohol (I just use inexpensive Rubbing alcohol, which is mostly water),
and poly resin with the compatible reducer, I don't think Poly resin and alcohol mix (I can't remember Haven't used poly in years)

My bad, that's what I meant. I was thinking of something else when I was typing.

Someday I'm gonna try poly-u for a glass job. I read from someone here on rcu about a test he did. Glassed two test panels. When cured, he pulled off the glass. The poly-u was just a tad easier to pull off. But by his discription, it wouldnt have made any difference. Both worked great and stuck down good enough.

Poly C is Polyacrylic and is generally water based. No smell and easy to clan up. Used this and 100% polyester dress liner on a fully sheeted Skyraider and can't say enough about using it. Goes on easy and reacts to heat gun for doing curves.
There is another thread in Kit Building that talks about how to apply http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6279653/tm.htm
Nice work on your Beaver. Looking at the Unionville kits for winter project.

Whatever happened with the overspray. Am curious what worked. I never had any luck cleaning a windshield with overspray and just ended up buying another.
