RE: mucchi 202 or 205
I believe the only plan set available right now for a Macchi C.202 Folgore is the Dennis Bryant "Elite" plans. I think Bob Holman still distributes those plans.
I bought a set several years ago and I've begun gathering the items I need to build it. Now, fast forward a year or so from now and I'm hoping to have a set of 1/5 scale plans for a serie VIII version of the c.202. I've collected about all the documentation I think I need and Dave Platt has been a big help in my efforts as he's built 3 of them from scratch to date. Unfortunately, he does not offer his plans for sale. The thing I like about the plane, aside from the sporty looks of it, is it was vastly underated until the later versions of the Spitfire arrived on the scene, it pretty much beat the competition hands down. And it's something different !!! And there are a lot of different schemes and markings to apply.
I don't know of any c.205 Veltro plans but I do know that VQ has an ARF offering.

V.Q. Models has an ARF of the Macchi 205. [link=http://www.vqwarbirds.com/products/aircraft/macchi.html]VQ warbirds[/link] I had one of these. It flew great until I dumb thumbed it in.
I know you did not ask but FYI. M.A.N has a set of plans for the Macchi 200. (site is slow)

BalonS,
Looks like you never had your questions answered as well as they could be. I assume, because if your interest in the AMA plans you're looking for something in the .60 size. The 'Elite' plans offered by AMA are by Dennis Bryant and are therefore likely to be VERY scale. However, probably not a good choice for a first scale build as it'll be quite involved and will leave much to the builder to figure out. If you're after a slightly smaller Folgore there's a ~58" span made by Wing Manufacturing. It will be stand-off scale but the price is very reasonable, about $50. for the short kit I think, and it'll take you about a 1/5 th the time to build! If you're still interested in the Elite plans then here's a cheaper source.
