Default P-40

I am looking for a 1/8 - 1/7? scale P-40 (approx 65" span), either a set of plans or a kit. A kit of this plane of exact scale probably doesn't exist.? I have seen Bob Holman offers a set of plans for this plane. I have built many scale planes from plans so that is not a problem. I am just looking for an "exact" scale or as close as possible for this model. Any help and/or suggestions? How close to "exact" scale is the Top Flite Kit?

Thanks,

The Brian Taylor plans available via Bob Holman are probably your best bet for scale accuracy. Unfortunately, Taylor has quit making accessories so you may not be able to get a cowl and/or canopy unless you can find one second hand.

The Top Flite kit is in reality a P-40 N, redone to look like the Flying Tigers. That particular aircraft was here in the San Diego Aerospace museum when I built mine.
