Default great scale pilots

If you are biulding anything around 1/6 scale check out GI joes, ultimate soldiers, etc. You will not believe some of the detail they have.I just picked up a navy seal(GI Joe)at wall mart for my H9 edge(i now its its 1/4 scale but i don,t care)black baseball hat and a very detailed head set and spiral com cable and a real cloth suit for 14 bucks.Ultimate soldiers come in so many types you will never see them all.

If yoy really want to see them, go to Ebay and do a search for "elite force". The best pilot figures ever made.

Default 1/4 scale????

Hmmm, I thought they were more like 1/6 scale? They would need to be about 18 inches tall for 1/4 scale, unless your pilot is a very small guy.

They are about 12" tall x4 only equals a 4 foot tall midget, x6 and you have a man

Default great scale pilots

Hello fellows,

I think "G.I.Joe","Dragon","Blue Box" action figures make excellent pilot figures. Especially if you are looking for pilots for Japanese or German birds!! For jets you can't beat "Blue Box" figures. For really good prices on these figures check the following sites:
www.goodstufftogo.net
www.monkeydepot.com
www.toywarrior.com
I've got a ton more; if your'e interested e-mail me.

Default Too Heavy.

Put em' on a diet. Use Gi Joe or Bluebox figures for molds. Cast light latex pilots and use the clothes and accessories. It will weigh about a pound or so less. If GI Joe ain't sitting on the CG, his weight can drastically affect the flying dynamics of the aircraft.

I drill big holes in the torso and fill them with foam and it lightens them up a lot.

You could use some of them helium filled micro-balloons and get them really light.
