Default Any Ryan STA models out there ???

<p class="MsoNormal">Hello All<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">I would really like to get some kind of Ryan STA RC plane.<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">I say some kind as it seems that while a few years ago there were many variations of types and sizes of this plane made by many manufactures, now I can&rsquo;t seem to find hardly any so at this point I'm kinda just trying to find what&rsquo;s out there.<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">The only one that I can seem to find is made by UltraRC here:<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">http://www.ultra-rc.com/products/ryan/index.html<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">&hellip;and while it looks a nice kit I think and probably a good kit for the money it is a little less of a model I was hoping for, not so much by size but more by robustness<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">The only other thing I see out now is the Kyosho here:<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">http://www.kyosho.com/eng/products/rc/detail.html?product_id=104139<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal">&hellip;but as far as I can see it is not available in the <st1:country-region><st1lace>US</st1lace></st1:country-region>. I have a 80" wing span Ryan new in the box. I cant remember for sure but I think I paid right at 400.0 plus shipping. It is red and white scheme. I would be willing to let it go for what I have in it.

Regards
Mike

Why not try building one to the size you want? There are a number of short kits available from reputal laser cutters and in a lot of cases you can getthe cowling and wheel pants from Fiberglass Specialties. You'll get the plane you want looking the way you want it to look. You can't beat that!

You'll see kits on RCU for sale, and on line. Try searching RCU for build Threads or just for interesting conversation.
I actually have one I scratched about 30 years ago, maybe longer.

Thing still isn't finished. I keep changing it, because the ailerons were wrong and other stuff. A list of other stuff.

Clark Y back then, so I added a bit of an arch to the underside of the ribs.

I could get photos if there were interest.

I have the Great Planes Ryan STA 80" W.S. ARF
Installed robart struts, scale flying wires etc.
I think G.P. discontinued this ARF about 3 years ago but you can
still find one on ebay now and then. They also made an STM 2 seater
military version that was 82" W.S.
