Default Eyeballing it

A lot of building is about eyeballing this or that angle or position. But just how good are you at doing this? Find out here:

My average score was 4.09

Not as easy as one presumes.

My three round average was 2.96. My eyes were starting to strain by round 3 though!

I got 4-5 when I tried it. I was told by a noted scale modeler that was easer when FAI and the old precision scale rules were used; it was easer to hide problems. The old rules had a ruler that the judges used to measure the 3-view and then measure the model. He said it was easy to get the point to point distances and sculpt the rest to look right. He could hide things because the judges were always too close. The present rules with the judges back from the plane can see the overall picture and will know if it looks right or not.

2.62 on the first attempt. 1.82 on the second. Couldn't bear another round, but doubt it would improve.
Kind of like working in Adobe Illustrator, which I do all day long, so I felt that I had an advantage.

Interesting stuff.
