Default evolution .46 muffler problem

I recently purchased the hanger 9 j3 cub. I made its maiden flight yesterday and this plane is beautiful. I took it up for 3 flights and was completely satisfied with my purchase. The only thing that went wrong was the end pipe on the muffler turned 180 degrees and blew all the exhaust directly onto the plane. I can turn it pretty easily back toward the floor, but the issue is that the small nut on the back side is very tight. How do I correct this problem? I tried looking at the engine manuel and found nothing about how to fix this. I also tried to look for a manuel for just the muffler, but came up short. Am I missing something or does it sound like a factory defect? Any help would be appreciated as this is my first nitro plane. Thanks

Nevermind. I took it apart and realized that the muffler is threaded and the nut is just to secure it.
