i would like to buy the Habgar 9 - Beast - pitts

well it would probably do howver it may be underpowered and not do aerobatics to its full potential and for such a nice EXPENSIVE plane i think it would be worth spending a little more and getting the larger engine

The manual recommends a DA100 which makes 9.8 HP. I have a DLE-111 ready to go in mine, which makes 11.2 HP and weighs slightly less! The engine you're looking at makes 5.4 HP and weighs about two pounds more! Your going to take the Beast and turn it into a Pig at 30 lbs with the power of a 50cc engine that should be flying a plane half that size. That engine doesn't come close to meeting the power requirements.
