Took 2 more minutes to find this too. Sorry Kitcutter, looks like you've been up to no good for a long time. Considering the date of this thread from RCU.

OK.... this thing has obviously taken on a life of it's own. Before i posted the original complaint, I contacted him 3 or 4 times after months of waiting. 4 months to be exact. He told me the" i've been sick" story which at face value i had to believe. He then Told me it was on it's way. Another 6 weeks went by and I contacted him again and he told me he lost the money because someone ripped him of and he had to use my money to finish other projects????? Can you say "Ponzi" Then I demanded a refund of my 489.00 and asked him where my money was. that's when he told me some of it was donated to the young miss America pageant and I was like a cheap old J** because i complained my money was spent and I didn't have my kit. that's when i realized I wasn't dealing with a full deck here. I decided to go on the attack and not give in until A: he paid me back, Or B: he delivered a good competent kit. He refused to pay me back because young miss america had my money and now it appears he did deliver the kit. I'll see it friday and let everyone know how it looks. If the kit is there and real, this attack has been successful and maybe we as a hobby need to collectively attack the people who continually hurt us. Before I did this, I read some other forums where other people had been waiting years for their kits from this guy. i wasn't going to wait that long.

thanks to everybody who chimed in.

Also, Autistic children aren't retarded Melanie. I know this for a fact. I have three of them. My 9 year old can out fly me.
I would like to second this post by DanMN. I too am the parent of an autistic child and while it is not unusual for a child with autism to also have some level of mental retardation it is certainly not always the case and they are two completely different conditions. The parent of such a child would know this and would be offended at the remarks posted by "Mrs. Neal" on the previous page. I know I was.

As a linguistics professor I would say that the posts by "Michaels" and "his wife" are stylistically identical. Notice the use of caps, the double periods (..) and slightly odd grammatical phrasing. Of course they say that married couples start to sound alike after a while but I too find it highly unlikely that any mother who actually had an autistic child would EVER refer to him or her as "retarded."

There are just dozens of linguistic and social red flags in everything "Michaels" has posted here. And as I said early, there are just way too many other kit cutters in the US to put up with this sort of thing.

Cornell Michaels and Michael Neal are NOT the same company. I purchased a kit from Cornell Michaels a couple years ago and had great service. He is an airline pilot (I think retired) and hand cuts his kits. I purchased a short kit and he included a bunch of extra wood with it.

I believe Michael Neal may have purchased the business from Cornell Michaels, but I'm not sure. I don't know of anyone who has been happy with Michael Neal.

He also gave me the sick run about glad I never sent him money. Then turns out he was following my posts here on rCU and complained to me saying that he was waiting for more info and for me to tell him what to do.
He's in Westland Michigan and I'm about an hour away, the best thing to do is either get a sales receipt or paypal invoice to show you paid and contact the local police.

The owner identifies himself as Michael Neal right on the web site so, whether he used to be the owner or not, he certainly is now.

He says he is in Cold Spring MN according to what he has put for info on RCU. That is approx 40 miles from me. This screams of scam. Sorry to say.

Sad to see this going on for so many years. My dealings with CM were from a long time ago. My kit was partially cut from old furniture or something. Not sure, it was as bad as it could get.

Sounds like he modeled his kit cutting after A&A Ind. Kits. All the ply in those kits looked like it came from old hollow core doors.

Hi,

my name is ManfredKoehler and I'm from Germany.

I have already described in the thread "URGENT! Need help about Kitcutter.com " the problem of my friend Wolfram.
I can only say that Michael Cornell, Michael Neal and Melanie Neal are reallygangsters (but it is only ONE person)!

Wolfram and I have tested the kitcutter-"company" (see below)!

- In September 2009 Wolfram ordered the kit of the Hostettler Curtiss P-6E
- He has paid immediately by PayPal
- Michael (?) promised to him that the kit is finished in December 2009
- Once in January, nothing happened, we have asked again and again via email
- Since January we have posted a determined 10 emails
- There were only the well-known excuses:

- There is no balsa wood in stock
- It has been delivered the wrong balsa wood
- It's balsa wood was delivered in poor quality
- The cnc machine is broken
- Michael (?) has cut into the hand
- Michael (?) is sick (back pain)
- He (?) is in the hospital because he has a lung disease from balsa wood
- He (?) Has the H1N1 virus
- He has set a temporary help, which is now also sick
- His wife (?) Melanie writes some crap ...
- If the kit is finished and only needs to send ...

There were always excuses. If we asked him whats the real name, actually never had an answer.
Most e-mails were signed to Wolfram with Michael (?). Sometimes even with Cornell (?).

Because we were too stupid simple, I (Manfred) made a test-request to Kitcutter.com.
I pretended as I am from Italy and my name is Manfredo. I juggled interest in a Skyraider.
I wrote, that I need the kit to early July.

I got also multiple responses from Cornell (?). He could finish the kit until early July!!!
I should transfer the money immediately by PayPal. He mailed me with two photographs
of a 118 inch Corsair F4U (under construction).

As my friend Wolfram has emailed to kitcutter, it has always reported never or very slow.
By myself have received within 3 days of 8 E-mails that I should be ordered!

Michael Cornell, alias Michael Neal, alias Melanie Neal is a fraud!

He deceives the people of their money and not providing kits but only excuses!

There are now enough evidence in this thread so far. There is no more excuses!

But he tries still, to constantly cheat customers (see Manfredo).

Can not we arrange together in the U.S. with all parties concerned to the police?

The only way for this guy is, that he paid the people money back.

We want to build and fly model airplanes! But we can not f... with us!
We are studying here in Germany, as we ourselves can make a complaint at the police.

Sad greetings from Germany send

Manfred and Wolfram

Again, it needs to be repeated that KITCUTTER.COM is a different company than KITCUTTERS.COM. The one without the "s" is this scam artist in Michigan. The other is based in California and they do good work. I had my DrI ribs cut and all my interactions it the owner, Joe, were great.
