Depends on your transmitter on how to apply it and personal taste on how much.

I'd start with 20 percent and adjust from there, it may need more or it may not need any at all depending on you and the plane.

Do you feel the elevator is too sensitive?

What radio are you using?

I usually do about -30% expo on elevator with a Futaba 2.4GHz radio.

Please take note that Futaba radios have a NEGATIVE value of exponential to soften around neutral while JR and Spektrum radios have a POSITIVE value of exponential to soften around neutral.

I don't know about any other systems, but it's right there in your manual.

You do read the manual, don't you?

DX7 = positive expo, start with 20 to 25 percent and see how it feels.

Another option also...use your dual rates so you can have no expo for cruising and then turn on the expo for landing. Best of both worlds? I agree with everyone else about starting at about 20-30%max.
Cheers,
James

Yes Mr. Pettit, I did read the manual .

Ed

I would have thought if you had read the manual you would know it is exponential that you are after not Expodential!!!!!!

This seems like a pretty harsh response to someone that is only trying to offer helpful advice.[&:] [X(]
