Am I correct when I assume that a 1/4 scale aircraft has 1/8 of the wing area of the real thing?

Can someone point me to some good info on topics as power for a given scale plane, predicting and calculating wing loading, and more of this stuff...?

If I have a square that is 4 inches by 4 inches, then I have 16 square inches. 1/4 scale means linear reduction, so if each linear dimension ir reduced to 1/4 of its original dimension, it will be 1 inch by 1 inch, with an area of 1 square inch. A 1/4 scale has 1/16 of the wing surface area.
Good luck'

Right...
When I look at it now I see I could have come up with that myself without bugging other people...

But thanks.
