Not quite,

I have designed a 205V. This just has a few extra bits and pieces on the cowling.

Dave Platt didn't make his plan available to the public. he said he drew it up so that he could build from it and thats all. He then told me to bugger off and design my own, which is what I did, hehe.

I draw in turbo cad, you can have a copy if you like.
Drop me an email.
One thing though, I'm just starting to build it now, so its not proven.

look at IMPs version. 80" + ws, builds up pretty good. You have the option of glass or build up

PLAN pl-221 cat. 2,

61" span, 635 sq. in., .61-.75, 4 ch., built-up balsa and plywood, two sheets 36" x 54", 29" x 59",

This is a very nice model that can be enlarged if you wish and it qualifies for Vintage RC Society events.

Bob Holman has one design of the 202. See his at www.bhplans.com

We also worked on the I.M.P. design, and the parts shown on the plan fit like crap. They only "look" like what you need to fabricate. Must be someone better the the draftsman, who made those parts fit at one time. Bob has corrected laser cut parts available now based upon this particular plan.

correction on the IMP version. The one that built up pretty good was the glass version and even then we had to recut the formers.

Guys,

Because of overwhelming demand, you can download the plan from my web site.

One thing, its not proven and needs a bit more work.

I am in the process of completing the cockpit drawing and i'll post this on my site for people, in the near future.

Hope this helps someone else get motivated and build one of these beautiful birds.

Hi Mike,

Any chance of having those Macchi drawings being made available in either dxf/dwg/cdr (corel 8) formats?

Thanks

Reuben

Okay Boys,

I've finally converted the files to DWG (Autocad) format.

Mike,
Link didn't have Macchi plans listed. No reference to them on site. Did I miss something?

Hey Guys,

Sorry, had to revamp the page to get it to sit nicely.

I have a question. Has anyone got a good photo or detailed cokpit drawing. I have one that i'm using but a couple of other references would be great.

I'll post this on my site when I've finished drawing it.

One other question, what do you guys use for the dash backing, i was thinking of g-10 (pcb board), instead of ply or balsa. I can see the balsa would give a grainy effect and ply???probably the same problem.

Hey Mike, great job, appreciated, but the last download, # 6, fuselage profile, cannot be opened, is the file bad?

Update to my site

Hi guys,

Firstly, I would like to appologise to RAGZ for hijacking his thread.

Secondly, I have updated my Macchi link with the former locations as requested by Scale aero.

Third, I have placed cockpit detail, canopy , undercarriage and lots more in the pages located within the Macchi directory.

I believe this is all useful stuff. I have used the cockpit file to complete most of my own cockpit.

Thanks Scalefan4, i put these pictures up for others on my site. These are from aero detail???

Happy building
Michael

folgor/veltro

got to hand it to anyone taking on a true scale replica of a folgor. Allways seemed like the ultimate fighter challenge with all the vents and bumps and general over-designed italian style. not to mention probably has to be scratch built.

MORE ON THE FOLGORE

Hi Guys,

For the Folgore fans I bumped into this website. Its in Portughese so it might be a problem translating but the schemes seem to be appealing:

Keep this thread going...its an interesting plane to model.

Regards

Reuben
