Are you talking waterjet or turbine power? Both can be called jets so you need to be specific on this one

The turbine attaches to a gear box that drives a shaft to the prop, same deal as the scale heli guys run I think, looked into it them last winter, think i only found one company that had a boat applicable set up, also seem to remember a 5000$+ price tag, quickly dropped that dream, a real turbine powered hydro would be so cool though! Ya it was a jetcat marine for 5200 bucks!
