I am about to build a springer tug. There is plenty of info about building the hull, but not a lot about the motor, gearing, prop, esc, and radio. Does anyone have a list of components and where to buy them from. I guess the problem is there are to many places, choices, and options.

which 540 motor
which gearbox or belt drive
which esc
which prop and shaft
which 2.4 radio

From memory, the cheapest 540 that you can find, direct drive, 1.5" prop, all run on a 6 volt SLA.  Thats if you want to have an "official" Springer to use with others in any games.  If its just for "personal use", you can use whatever you prefer.
