It appears to be a very expensive publication especially for International subscribers.
To demonstrate it's value for money why not publish pdf's of some pages/articles?

To date I have not received the first copy of Scale & RC Boats.

Does anyone have any other method on how to contact the publisher of Scale & RC Boats. I've tried to call the phone number listed and always get an answering machine ( I left a message ). I've also E-mailed them. No response to ether.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

Just a guess. But maybe he is at the Nuremberg Int'l Toy Fair right now.

I met Ron last Saturday at the Toledo show, but just briefly as his booth was very busy. I picked up both copies of the magazine. The first issue I wasn't very pleased with because of one persons article, Dave Merriman. He started things off on the wrong foot with his "I am God and you're scum" attitude. The dude has a bad ego problem. Why you printed it in the first place, I don't know. I've heard that on another forum website what they thought of him before your magazine ever hit the stands but boy, was I shocked! If there is one person who could single-handedly ruin your magazine, it is him! Fortunately in the second issue he had mellowed out as he must have gotten it out of his system.
I hate to sound so critical but he left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is the greatest idea!!

Why now have a $10 a year service where you provide it for download or even just email it to people. Yeah i can understand someone may take it and post it on a website for further download, and you dont have the ability then to track distribution so you cant charge as much for add space...

But its still a great idea!

I noticed also in Issue #2 that Merriman just talked about building r/c subs and lost his condescending attitude. Either he got the word himself, or the editor did his job and edited. In any case, it makes the entire magazine much more palatable.

Not only have I met Ron Abir but we talked one day for a good 45 minutes on the phone. He's a top-notch person and brave to start a magazine for this hobby/sport while the other has cut back and another folded up a few years back.
The magazine still has a few rough edges but like any magazine or web site, it will grow and fill its niche quite nicely. Kmot used the word that I felt also but didn't use it previously, condescending.
Other than this situation, the only thing that I did notice that a little spell-checking is in order.
As long as there is no more "Holier than thou" attitude, there should be a great future ahead for them.
Mr. Merriman is free to respond in here.

Merriman does give off the idea that if he dies, all your boats will stop and sink.

Time for all the other boaters to write a article about anything that would be too long on the web.
