I have a recomendation for anyone else who decides to fill or line the upper bulkheads before putting down the deck. Since the bulkheads tend to 'tilt' inward a tiny bit, and since the deck is a fairly close fit at the base of these inward tilting bulkheads, and since the hatch combings tend to make the deck inflexible ... see where I'm going with this?
Question.
Were you ever in the mechanical engineering department and hear a 'thunk', 'thunk' sound? That was an engineer banging his head on the table cuz he found that one of his great ideas wasn't.

Going after more asprin, and 'calming fluid'.

Except for the hand rails and some touching up, I think it's about done! Took it to the duck pond to reballast. Did it. Found where the water was getting in, forgot to plug the holes for the flanking rudders. Also forgot that I was going to charge the batteries but had enough 'juice' to get it to shore. (Yeah, yeah I know. My 'C.R.S.' syndrome is getting worse.) Added some pictures. The 'list' has been corrected. Found some paint that I'll have to re-do, but considering that it's either the paint or the hand rails, I'll do the paint (hate hand rails).

Quattr0,
Pull the ballast out of it and it'll almost plane! Runs like it should, looks as close to scale as far as I know (and just enough more to keep the duck's eyes open ).
The paint. One of those, "Pay attention, stupid!", things. Grabbed the wrong can of yellow paint, not 'Fusion' as I thought it was. You could see the 'crinkle' rising the further you painted. You haven't lived until you've had paint crinkle/craze/whatever it's called. The odd part is that in some spots it may take up to a day to show up. Now that's really 'fun'! (Probably from some duck 'poop' from the pond?)

I think I'm done. You know how that goes, any boat is never really finished. Cheated on the hand rails. Made a wire one for the top rail, used cord for the others. Once you coat the cord with CA and paint it, it's hard to tell the difference from wire (especially the way I bend wire!). It'll be a few days before I can really tell if I need to do some more touch-up, just to 'close' to it right now (as if I don't expect to have to!).

Where the paint crinkled, weather the boat and put some rust there. You've done a great job.

...weather my boat? What, my brand new, just off the showroom floor boat?
Wish I'da thought of that before giving it a 'nose job'. 'Sides, the tires hide it pretty good.
