Default Graupner Smoke generators

Can these be used with normal smoke fluid : for example order code LG52G from maplins?

The reason I want to do this is that this liquid is cheaper than the one graupner sells, and maplins is near my house.

Andrew,

if you haven't parted with money yet, or if you're interested in a very cool alternative ("cool" being the operative word here), check this out:

A walk to the kitchen is all this one needs, there's no hazard in something getting very hot and the amount of "steam" is impressive.
Oh, and it doesn't smell either...

I put one in my Mod. Slipway Envoy, and it does it work perfectly there....
