Ok does anyone know if they make hydro trim tabs. or remote adjustable trim tabs. Or anyone have any ideas on how to make them? I wanna be able to adjust them using a channel on my remote.

hEY SHARKBAIT , HI-TIDE HERE, IF YOU GO TO THIS SIGH< swissmodelpowerboatteam. and check out the boats, drives , also he made servo on the trim Tab on the Victory Boat HP go to this sigh and you will see all his sigh, You need a jewelers lath to make these parts or buy them from him.
I am going to put that style on my little boat, and deffenly on the boat that I will build this winter the way to go is the same as if you were in your own 30 ' Donzi It is scale It is all about holding the boat in the water , so if we are not in the boat we are still feeling when we turn the nob, flip the switch, we are driving , going to need two servo h/d 4 or more chanels, well i am going home say good night.

You sort of have two options on how to control those trim tabs. One is by running a rod to them and moving them with the servo. Another way is to really make the things hydraulic. Uh, that last one isn't going to be very easy (as if you couldn't figure that out
). And not that running a control rod to those trim tabs is going to be all that easy either! You do have some room to play with in that 'Donzi' so either is 'possible'. Personally, I'm more of a 'bend them and see' person, just don't want to mess with the hard way...

PS - I also think this is the right forum for this kind'a thing.

wow. what an amazing boat that is. incredible detail and function. any more full pics of it, JAW?
to the OP, hydaulics probably arent going to be a viable application for tabs. my vote goes to servo controlled surfaces. 1:1 boats use hydraulics b/c of the convienent source of power from power steering pumps on the engines. use the same logic and use the easiest power source for your boat.
FWIW, i also think this is the appropriate subforum for the question; it is reguarding a scale Donzi...

forget hydraulics, JAW's example is perfect for your boat, pretty simple too.
JAW what do you use to seal the linkage? that's pretty discreet, I expects to see rubber boots or something.
