This is a prototype Hatteras sport fisher. 75 inch LOA, 20 inch beam, 92lbs displacement, 4inch draft and 18 degree dead rise. All wood construction, twin 12volt electric motors, twin ESC's, 12volt electric downrigger for trout fishing, 4 channel radio, three 12volt Hanger9 batteries for four hours of run time. 250 hours of contruction time involved. It has 16 6 inch figures, 5 dogs, 1 cat and 2 parrots! Lower cabin has pool table, leather couch, bar, spiral wood staircase up to enclosed helm with 12 volt lighting/AC adapter. Scooby and Shaggy at stern of boat are placed in a fish fighting chair that is stainless steel construction with stainless 1/4in conduit, which carries fishing line inside the boat to the electric 12volt fishing downrigger. The boat has fished many lakes, but no luck yet. Also has custom transport trailer to launch and retrieve.

Thanks for the compliment. The fish may know a Hatteras when they see one
Haven't been able to make a video yet because the lakes in this area are very busy in the summertime.

I have made molds off of this wooden hull that was used for a plug. The reason for making molds is that this is the second boat I've made, the first was unfortunately destroyed in a car accident on the way to the lake last summer! If for some reason this new boat gets destroyed, I'll be able to build another out of fiberglass. I hadn't considered building/selling because there doesn't seem to be much interest in large scale sport fishing boats that can be used for RC fishing. The Donzi 65, Seducer and Captain's Models (out of Oregon) build some really nice sport fishing boats that would be hard to compete with for the price. It would be fun to have a few sport fishing boats in the North Sound area to put together a RC fishing tournament. Where are all the RC guys in North Seattle/N. Sound area?

I have a pair of Hopf Viper 900 motors direct drive to spin a set of C/R 2.9" wheels. This is purely to get some baseline numbers.
Never really had a R/C boat, this will be my first. Kind of massive for a first, but life is such.
Next power setup is probably going to be a pair of beefy Plettenbergs or Astroflight Cobalt 90's.
I would like to remain with a brushed setup for the low rpm use and reverse capabilities.

I love both of these sportfisherman models. I would love to purchase a hull 4 to 5 feet in length (would have to fit in back seat of car for transport). I have a 1977 Jersey Dawn sportfish 40' and would love to have an r/c model that looked like her. My Jersey looks a lot like the 70" Miller hull. Does any one know where I could purchase a similar hull about 4 feet long?
