AURORA 1/400 U.S.S.ENTERPRISE KIT 721
CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A HISTORY LESSON ABOUT THIS KIT. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ON LINE OR ON THE AURORA SITE. IT'S LIKE IT NEVER WAS MADE. IT LOOKS LIKE IT CAN BE CONVERTED TO RC. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS? ROGER.

This shows how behind the power curve I am. Truly amazing that the old Aurora has chosen to reactivate. http://tinyurl.com/ywvm4c
Most any plastic ship model can be converted to RC, it just has to have enough room for the components. This obstacle has gotten easier to surpass over the years as micro servos, receivers and the like have shrunk in size. At over 33 inches long, you should have no problem converting it.
No doubt that Revell or Monogram may have reissued this kit, as Deathwish has probably found one of those versions. There's an Aurora one on ebay at the moment but that's all I know about this kit.
The new site so I could also share in what has been going on:

RE: AURORA 1/400 U.S.S.ENTERPRISE KIT 721
Yes it's entirely possible - iv'e done it with a C.C Lee 1/400 Enterprise. It looks fantastic in the water, and handles very well(just have to keep as much weight as low as you can because the flightdeck makes it quite top heavy. I don't have any pics of the Enterprise on the water but i did the same thing with a Revell QM2. The hull size on both are practically the same, so i basically just copied the layout of the working from the QM2.
Here's my original thread on the QM2, have a look, it may give you some ideas/insipration.

Also here are a couple of pic's of the two together during building, the last one is a 1/350 Nimitz that somebody else converted.
