Default scale help!

Hello everyone,
I'm building a 1/96 scale aircraft carrier and I wanted to find out what scale aircraft would look good with it 1/72 or 1/48 since 1/96 are hard to find.

Thanks for your help
George

An aircraft carrier in that size, will be so impressive it won't need airplanes on the deck! lol...

There are some mfg's who make planes in 1/100 scale. Do a search for what you can find in that scale.

Your best bet woudl be with 1/100 scale. Look for Corgi or J Wings on Ebay.

Scale shoudl be consistent, a 1/48 or 1/72 plane in a 1/96 scale bot would look like a 747 parked on an aircraft carrier.

When I built My boat (1/144) I picked that scale due to its relative ease of use, A 1/144 Aircraft Carrier is about the same size as a 1/96 destroyer. Also the planes were readily available in 1/144.

You may want to consider scaling up to 1/72 on your boat (16' vs 11')

What time period?
John Haynes has resin castings of WW2 naval planes in 1:96.
For example, http://floatingdrydock.com/JH63.JPG
