My first scale model
Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking in this forum for a while. I finally have something to post. I just finished my first scale model and have attached some pictures of it. It is the Midwest Elliot Bay Steam launch. I am pretty happy with the result, but there are quite a few mistakes in the paint work.
Now I have to figure out what to build next!

RE: My first scale model
Sorry I didn't post pictures of the build in progress. Here are a few shots. Next time I will post them as I build.
I pretty much followed the instructions except I made my own cushions and planked the radio access hatch. I went with an internal antenna which seems to have reasonable range. The pipe from the boiler to the steam engine are for show, because the whole boiler has to be removed to access a container for sterno. Instead while running a piece of silicone will be used. I also inclined the engine a bit to get better alignment from the drive shaft. I also added a small oil collector.
I haven't had a chance to run her yet

I was going to say something about the cushions next to the firebox, but it looks like you already know what I was going to say. The shielding is a very nice touch!
