Marine Modelers of New England meeting
Marine Modeler's January Meet-up
Model Ship Builders from New England will meet with the Marine Modelers Club of New England. Members and visitors are invited to bring radio controlled ship models for display and "show and tell". The focus is peer to peer discussions with region's model shipbuilders. There will be a brief business meeting for club members.
Meeting is scheduled for January 20, 2008
Begins 1 PM, ending late afternoon
Place: Meeting hall at The United Church of Christ

Attire: everyday clothing (i.e.dress down)
Directions: Medfield center, Rte. 109 near the intersection of Route 27. The hall of the United Church of Christ is located immediately beside the Bank of America (on the left hand side).
Parking
There is parking on the street on Miller Street and in the municipal lots across Main Street from the church. The Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home has invited visitors to park in their lot off Park Street as well. Please do not block access to any of the bank drive-through windows nor park in front of the real estate agencies who often conduct business on Sunday mornings

Atmosphere: fun, kid friendly, professional serious minded model builders
Marine Modelers of New England is a low-key club based in the greater Boston area. The thirty year old organization meets monthly, usually pond-side to sail their model boats, when the weather allows it. Their meetings are informal, with little time spent on business, and lots of time displaying models, talking about RC boats, and listening to guest speakers. There is usually an interesting array of models at our gatherings displayed by members and guests.

You know, for the last two years we have asked what clubs were in Maine, and the New England area. And if any participate in the Lobster boat races held at the local museum.
You are the first person to post any information at all for Model boat clubs in Maine..

Yeah... And too bad I am in Qatar right now.. [&o]
But good news on the horizon, I am moving back to San Diego in August.. I shoudln;t have any problem finding a few guys there to run with...

We met at Woods Hole,last Spring. Would love to find info on lg lobster boat,plans,hulls,kits,etc. Being from So East MA,Cape area,I see them all the time,my bro is lobster man. Thanks Larry B
