SLA batteries
I would like to use SLA batteries for my TT build since I'm gunna need some weight to get it down to the water level and I would love the extra capacity. What brands of batteries and chargers do you guys use? I just don't want to end up buying junk.

RE: SLA batteries
The beauty of Sealed Lead Acid is they NEVER go bad. At least none of mine ever have.
Some of mine are + 15 years old. I DO RECHARGE before long storage.
I do a recharge of all batteries every Christmas week.
Lowest cost batteries I have. The best car battery is a YUASU.
Charger anything from B J's .......5 to 10 amps is plenty. With MANUAL, CONVENTIONAL & DEEP CYCLE modes.

RE: SLA batteries
Several years ago, Northwest Battery supply sold me the batteries i needed and a nice smart charger. Now a days I pick up batteries from Batteries Plus, Norvac, and even Radio Shack, but the charger is the same one from my original purchase.
If there is a Batteries Plus near you, they have a decent wall wart that will charge your gel cells and switch to trickle charging when they are full.
