Default Chris Craft windshield?

I'm completing a standoff scale model (55" or quarter scale) of a Chris Craft racing runabout. I'm modeling "Sleeper" which was raced as an APBA F Service Runabout (//www.vintagehydroplanes.com/sleeper.html). Although the race boat didn't the race boat didn't have a windshield, I'm thinking I want to all one. Anyone have any idea if there are parts available, plans, or component suggestions for building one? It will need to be about 2" X 12" or thereabouts.
Appreciate any help.

Welcome to the pain in the butt, class of winshield builders. I HATE to do them. They are so time consuming. I am going to try Doll House window frame strips. They have a mitered groove for clear stuff. Will try straight Amonnia to soften the strips.Shape it with clamps, dry, washout the Amonnia while still clamped, dry. Put the plastic windshield in. Not sure what rewetted Amonia would do to plastics.

Would railway line (the 'T' line itself) work?
