Hi guys; I fly rc airplanes , but I am looking for a gift for my dad, a model of a destroyer , not rc just static display. He was on the norman scott in wwII. He builds violins , so he can handle something intricate assembly. I know nothing about ship building so where do I go but to rcu. I doubt if I can find the class of destroyer he was on but something close would be nice. He might get hooked or he might not even like it,its a gamble we sons take for birthdays. I believe its a fletcher class. Any Ideas?? thanks dan

What class of destroyer was he on maybe we can find him one. Look for a Destroyer called the Blue devil. It's small maybe 3 feet but has alot of detail.

Fount this: This is a 1/125 "Fletcher Class" Blue Devil Motorized Destroyer Plastic Model Kit from Lindberg. It's designed for advanced model builders and serious adult collectors.
So Yea it's a fletcher class.
