Default Johnson HC970

I have a couple of HC970. My question is are they 6 or 12 volt? I want to put them in a Mister Darby and hoped to run them direct drive. Also what kind of amperage draw am I looking at.
Thanks

What size props and do you know the RPM of the motors?
They will run fine on either voltage, its the prop and how fast you want to spin it that affects current draw.

Since the Darby will need plenty of ballast you'd be better off using a 12 volt battery. The 970 will run fine on either 6 or 12 volts but will run a bit cooler on 12 volts.
