im sorry i didnt find your posting earlier cos i couldve helped. ive also upgraded the brushed motors. these outboards are fixed in possition. the boat steers by adjusting the rpm of one motor. (its rudderless) If the boat is stationary it will turn on its axis by reversing one motor whilst the other runs in forward mode. im using a very small nicad and get 20 min if i run at full throttle.

if its any concelation i also fried the origional motors....

looks good, well even though it sank I built a much nicer micro boat, an airboat, here a pic before I changed it, its currently running a brushless, and when the batteries are charged 1/4 throttle is on plane and about the fastest it goes without getting squirly, I cant hold full power for more then a second or so, it would blow over...anyway here it is...

that looks cool. id stick with 1/4 throttle cos i recon it could get airborne! good luck
