Default Wtc

I am fairly new to the world of RC Submarines and I decided to build a Type VIIC as my first sub. I was wondering if it would be better I buy a WTC or build one so I can get the hang of it. If I should buy one, where. Sub Driver has one and it looks very good. If I should build one, are there any plans that I can follow? and what type of ballast system would be best. I would prefer one with a built in fail-safe. Thanks

Google Rogue Sub Works diy-rcab for an excellent guide to a do it yourself WTC.

It depends, no matter what, most WTCs are expensive, wiether bought as parts, or as a complete kit. I have one myself, that has a WTC that was already built for it...its a ton of fun to run...but man, its small and finiky compared to my larger subs. Most newer transmitters/ receivers have a failsafe already built in.
