hi all
can some kind soul tell me how to install and get up and running a water jet system..i,ve completed a robbe u47 sub.. and nearly finished a engel nautilus but my next project i want to install a water jet system but this is totally new to me..all and any info would be greatly appreciated like what system to use etc....

Depend what you mean by "water jet" do you mean the kind you would install inside a sub to squirt water out at people (not a really nice thing to do!
)? Or the kind used as a propulsion system? Bilge pumps and other types of pumps can be installed on a sub to give it propulsion.

not the water pistol type even though that would be fun!!!propulsion to power a sub along and steering the thing as well..

In either case of the previous suggestions, I have reservations that they will be powerful enough as the main source of propulsion for a boat or submarine.
While the Graupner bow thruster is a bit overpowered as a thruster. I don't believe the propellers were designed for high powered thrust.
Actual jet pumps may be adaptable to your application by extending the shaft connection into a WTC. Since the submarine is below the water surface, jet pumps should not have any trouble with water intake.
