Default Scratch Built XVIIB

Thought you guys might like to see my latest scratch build. I'm also offering kits. Contact me for the price.

1/35 Glass epoxy hull and sail. Alumilite appendages. CD included.

To see the building thread go here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399089

Here's some pictures and video. The video is just a pool test. Next I'll go to the local lake and get the real deal. This boat is just too big to turn around in my small pool but you'll get the idea.

I started this project on July 30th and finished last week. Work has been slow so I had the time to do this quickly.

Hope you guys like it.

Hi Steve,

I don't see you on RC-Universe very often! You gotta get that boat to the lake, can't wait to see the video!

P.S: Were you running the boat at full throttle in your pool video?

Hey Nemo! thanks a bunch. No not even half power. This thing is a rocket ship. I'm hoping for Saturday at the local lake. I finally have a video camera again so I'm all set. Just got to get someone there to shoot for me.

Hi Cobalt,

Not sure what you meant there, my sub is a Type VIIb (7b) U-boat that I'm scratchbuilding, I'll post pics of the finished boat when I'm done.

Haven't even touched or seen my camera since summer ended two months ago!

This video is not very good as my pool is too small. But if I can get someone out to the lake with my camera to shoot the real deal I will post that soon.

http://www.sneill.com/type17/type17.wmv

The boat handles very well. And will dive without any forward motion. Will hover and hold depth like a champ.
