Minisub with Spy cam
I you guys, i am new here, on this forum, and to RC.
I am from Portugal.
I am an RC and underwater entusiast.
And i am looking for somethink to help me to do some neat things.
I am looking for a mini sub that can hold inside a spy cam like this:
The case size is: 30mm x 21mm x 86mm
The sub must not be mutch bigger than this.
And it wages only 60 grams with a 9 volt batery
What i need in this mini sub is great manouverability like this one: http://www.hobbybrinca.pt/radiomodel...products_id=61
You can see teh video here: http://www.chavessa.com/video/submari.wmv
Now the questions:
Do someone have sketches for something like this?
Can it be done?
Can someone help me doing this?
Thanks to every body!

Hi,
The sub that you have provided in your link looks a lot like the Hobbico Sea Scout. I'm not sure if you can mount your camera inside the sub based on the dimensions provided but if you can make a strap for the camera to sit on outside the sub, I'm sure that it can be done.

Ok, mounting it outside, no prob, but where? Under?, we have the propeller there!!! []
I was thinking in building something by my self, but i dont understand nothing of this, and i am looking for somone that can help me build my MINICAMSUB.
What i can say is that the housing of the camera have 30mm x 21mm x 86mm, so i have to build something that can take this and the 3 motors. One for each propellar and one in the meadle, for up and down manouvers.
Can i use PVC to do this sub?
Can some one halp me in the how to?
I can get the 3 motors, the cam and housing, and the front side must be transparent like the:

RE: Minisub with Spy cam
well you could buy the sub you first posted and use the guts to put in your own casing that way you dont have to worry about sealing everything properly if you were to completly make a new one

Diasje,
PVC subs aren't new to the world of RC-subs, it's certainly possible of making one with camera intergrated. Using the thruster idea, you could even make a mini ROV.

It has been done. I use an underwater camera system that has it's own WTC system built by the master of all things that are submarine, David Merriman. If you look through his Cabal reports you see he's making a Japanese mini sub with the camera system. Also at old RC Groups I started a thread o the camera system there but due to changes in PC policy at RCG none of us participate there any more. Here's the thread. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=339195
