Help, need info
Hey guys,
How do you make subs from scratch?
I mean do you order chips and water-proof them.
I know you (usualy) order hulls, that,s not the problem, I'm good at that.
My problem is how do you wire chips and where?
Can you like tell me or direct me to any How-to books?
Thanks.

RE: Help, need info
Hey U-812
It has a TON of forums. I did a scearch on wiring but found nothing i need.
I think if i got a kit from engel i might be able to understand the operation better.
I want to get Gato kit SS-212 TAES. Is there anything they dont include in it like a remote?
And it doesn't show the price which kinda gives me the feeling that its expensive.
Thanks.

Engle boats will cost you over 1000 bucks or more in the long run.
Not sure what your question is about wiring as the WTCs have basic wiring. Servos, ESC, micro switches, motors. RX and bats. Real basic like an airplane but inside a water tight cylinder. that's all. The real secret is keeping the water out and your electronics dry and that's no biggy either.

RE: Help, need info
Hi,
I have an Engel Gato and it will easily cost $2,000. with radio and all the ansillary things you need (ESC's, pitch control, battery, etc.) The good news is their support and service is second to none. I bought mine when there was an importer for the kits. Now they ship direct from the factory. I purchased and built an Engel Lafayette this year and from the time I ordered it and it was delivered to my door was about a week. I would however make a suggestion, if you have never built a submarine before start with something else. The Gato is a very complicated piece of machinery. I worked on mine off and on for about three years before I finished it. I do have a picture or two of it in my gallery if you would like to see it.

Seems like the Mods don't like you, or more likely they don't like competition. RC Universe is fine for Wally subs and other Toys, but if your building an Model Sub or need more information on how to do it then there are only 2 websites you need to bother posting in, SubCommitte and Subpirates.
Nothing wrong with RCU as long as you are aware of its limitations and your into Toys.

Thanks. I editted my post to be more direct with less fuss. This is the same thing that drove me away from RCG.
We aren't competition as long as we are non profit and don't take ads from large companies. I just don't need to spend time here anyway.
