Use polystyrene and a fiberglass coating. Get some wtc or Make em out of PVC. Make sure u have a failsafe and orings in most parts. Also test in a pool first not in a pond or lake

I had a "failsafe." I played with Wal-Mart subs and installed a telescoping antenna on the transmitter. I kept the antenna collapsed as I ranged the sub outward; when I noticed the boat wasn't responding as well as when underfoot, I made a mental note not to go further--and extended the antenna to rein the sub back into its prime range.
