Hi there dynamic diving is where you use the subs forward motion and dive plains to dive and then when u reduce speed to surface a static diver is where the seb has ballast tanks on board and can pump water in and pump water out making it dive on the spot.
You would need
WTC ( WATER TIGHT CONTAINER)
Ballast tank and pump and esc to controal the pump (OPTIONAL)
3/4ch radio pack ( 3 for dynamic 4 for static diving)
servos ( 4 the RUDDER + DIVEPLAINS)
Speed controaller (recommend Msonik ESC)
Motor + Motor > Shaft connecter
Battery pack and charger
Prop shaft
Prop
Rudder, Diveplains, and all things to link dive planes and rudder to servo.
I dont think ive missed anything out!
Good Luck
Jonjoe

Hi,
If you're new to the submarine segment I would not recommend a static diving boat. Very expensive and sometimes very complicated. However, if you are dead set on one you can expect to shell out $1,000.00 or more by the time you purchase everything. I have seen advertisements from a company called North Seas Fleet, in the UK that produces many types of static & dynamic type subs. I personally have never seen them so maybe someone else can chime in about them. They seem to be very reasonably priced. Dave Manley, the owner of Small World Models, makes probably one of the nicest pre-fabbed kits available with his Blueback submarine. Excellent starter kit. I believe the boat runs around $800.00 but the beauty of it is that you can have a static boat built in no time and the USS Blueback is a very sexy machine. A dynamic boat will set you back far less. Dumas makes a dynamic Gato class boat for under $200.00 Add in a radio & basic equipment (pitch controlller, fail safe) and you probably top out at around $500.00 more or less. Another advantage to starting simple is that you are less likely to get frustrated and quit. Also, if you lose the boat in the depths, you aren't out so much (yes, it does happen)
Hope this helps,
Pete
