what is an esc and an GWS??

The esc is a unit that controls btoh your mottor and what direction you are goimg. it dose it through electronics instead of through machanical controls. If I understand you GWS is a company who makes all kind of eletronic gear and some real nice R.C. units. Forgive my spelling not my best subject.

I've always wondered about that stuff....

does the esc have anything todo w/ recever or is it the thing that receves the command form the radio(the recever)?? and one more thing wut is the device that the radio talks to in the sub to give commands??

The ESC stands for electronic speed control, it hooks up to your receiver, the little black box receiving your signals from the transmitter (as the name says).
