Does the system allow for airsoft usage?

I do not believe so Chief. Check with Phil to be sure, but I think it is only for IR systems.

I suppose you can choose to keep the airsoft gun in place and simply replace the airsoft warning LED with the IR LED andmount theDBU's DIN9 connectorin the commander's copula, though itwould be a very tight squeeze. If you were to do this type of hybrid installand stilluse the stock Heng Long transmitter, please keep in mind that the IR system will only fire using the "K" button while the airsoft system would still fire using the transmitter's left-up toggle.

It's an interesting possibliity.

Don , After I had this system installed in Pershing Airsoft would not work. Just made the firing souds of gun. Sorry I had forgotten to tell you this. It has been awhile. lol

Yes. As HondoBob says, the airsoft cannon will function just fine, but remains independent of the IR battling functions. Replacing the airsoft warning LED is a good place to put the IR LED.
