I decided that while I'm waiting on my parts to come in I would mess with a paint job on the Leo.This is NOT meant to be correct or modelled after a particular tank. I decided to try something different as sort of a , "what if" and went wth it.Let me know what you think.

That, looks freakin cool. From a distance you can't even make out the shape of the vehicle. That is the whole purpose of Digital camo.

Very cool dude! You will be suprised how well that will blend in to lots of diferent settings. Nice.

Excellent paint work! I'm quite impressed, especially from a lad who 10 months ago was worried about painting the tools on his P3!
Hmmm. So I'm not the only one who hears voices. That's comforting...I think.

WOW SEV!!! you hear them too? i am so happy I'm not alone... Thanks for the kind words. I was not expecting this kind of response, but I am not complaining. Now, any suggestions on the lower hull? I am not sure if I should paint it Light grey or camo or what....

Thanks Jimmy! yes, I was concerned the whole time that I was simply making a mess of it and would eventually have wasted alot of paint. I am happy with the results though and now need to figure out what setting it would best blend into LOL.

Ummm...wow! It does mask the shape and outline of the tank. If you want to keep it, then you should paint the lower hull to match the upper.

When I first saw the new digital camo paint scheme on a real tank I thought it was a horrible idea. But your example made me a believer..........a real eye popper! It really does a job on my Mark 1 eyeballs! Excellent work!

Paint it all the same, upper and lower. It looks too good to change plan now.
Hmmm, winter camo, urban, United Nations, 2015, uprising in Norway? Why not?

NIce job Joe! Looks really cool and makes me really miss not being able to get to my Leo to finish up its digi camo. I went with Marpat so far, but only 20% complete...real tedious work. Anyhow, once I get back home (currently in Thailand with family members) I hope to finally get her done! Great work again!

I would paint the lower hull like the upper hull, where visible. That paint job really screws up your depth perception, no doubt.
I intend to hear a lot of voices tonight. Long and hard day with OVIR, so methinks I'll be hearing some Massandrah Pyatnitski and Inkerman Moi Rodina...for starters...

Well again, I am surprised at how much attention this thing is getting. Positive at that. I am thinking the same thing about painting the whole thing the same and the Norway thing works for me too LOL. Hell, correct isn't always fun and I just wasn't feeling a dark green on this thing.

Correct is only correct if you are attempting to match a historical event. Never forget that tanks will be used in the future too. Everybody is correct withthe details on afuture si fi tank. No doubt the Leo and Abrams will be arround for a few years to come.
It's a nice contrast to your Tiger.

Well being that everyone seems to like the paint, I did continue on and dis the same to the lower hull and rear deck.I noticed thatI am missing a front fender...don't know how I missed that before, but oh well, battle damaged I suppose can explain that away.

I like it!!
