Modelzona 2010
The DAKleadership moonlights as scale modelers and our affiliation with IPMS Phoenix runs deep. The Craig Hewitt Chapter hosted the nationals in August but that didn't stop us from hosting our Local event at the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa AZ. I must repeat it is much cooler to have a model show in between the real things.
The DAKCommanders managed to secure a few awards and did some recruiting in between our staff jobs. My M4A3 "Dorothy" rang up a bronze medal in the Scratch Built/ Conversion category. Craig placed with some of his static entries and we handed out nearly 40 club flyers.
