Update. Ihad another gear (extra?) kicking around that was just slightly different in size and tried it. Works fine now. Circled in blue.
They either gave me an extra gear to throw me off or it'll be used later somewhere.
What a relief!









I'm not sure if this is normal. The area in red rotates fine by hand. The areas marked by the black arrows will not rotate freely by hand. Is this normal?
