Default Mine is longer than yours.......

That's assuming you even have an SdKfz7 tractor towing a V2 rocket on a Vidal transport trailer.

Hey......I could be the only one with a 54 incher !!!!

Last week I tried to think of a really quick project. Something that would only take a day or two. I already had the SdKfz7 tractor and the Estes V2 rocket, so the trailer was the perfect answer. The Meiler launch erector trailer was too complicated, so I took this two day cheap shot. Three days later I watched the paint dry on glue that was almost dry. The body of the tractor is configured for a Nebelwerfer and crew, but who cares........this combination could have happened somewhere, at some time. That's my story and I'm gonna stick to it.

I gotta get a life.

NURSE! Where's my medication?

The Tractor is 1/16th scale R/C. The Estes rocket is close to 1/16th scale. The model rocket is 2 scale feet shorter than it should be, and I just built the trailer to fit what I had to work with. The fuselage diameter and fin width are "close" also.

That is much longer that the set up I wanted to do: A Kubelwagen pulling a Nebelwerfer.

Are the nebelwerfer wheeles set up to roll? I'm not sure how much the kubelwagen can tow.

I love the rocket. Any way to set it up as an IR target? Your friends couldbattle to destory / protect the rocket while you towed it around the battle field.

I had the idea to do the whole series of vehicles and equipment for a launch site until I did some research on that. There is just too much support stuff to build. I don't have the patience for a project that big. It took more stuff than I realized to launch a V2. A V1 looks like child's play in comparison, but even a V1 launch rail would be a job. This trailer was just a goofy departure from tanks, and now I gotta find the shelf space for it.

The Nebelwerfer that I built was the old 120mm Verlinden resin kit. It can be built so that the wheels roll and other things operate too. I don't think a Kubelwagen could tow a Nebelwerfer any great distance.......I just don't know about that.

I'd be happy to tow the nebelwerfer far enough to shoot some movies. I,m building up movie files of my tanks in hopes of making a RC tank "German Propaganda" movie. The kubelwagen / nebelwerfer combo would be a nice addition.
