Has anyone used this in place of Zap ? I saw it comes in different thicknesses.

The Zap is still a much better CA for our purposes. the first brand i used was the best i had ever found but cant remember the name. Z&Z hobbies carries it. they are just about the only hobby store that is anywhere near me. i gotta make a trip up there and stock up on some stuff, as they carry all the Tamiya flat panit acrylics instock also. Plus they are a authorized Tamiya dealer. they don't stock tanks but most dont. I NEED a new Pershing. i just have to have one. that and the new Hooben T-55. They are on top of my list. then i am going to get my Mato Sherman Jumbo conversion finished if it kills me. i just gotta have that model too.

Oh yea... I almost had to trash one of the Leopard 1A4's I'd gotten when I found the twit had used CA to lock the 2mmm bolts in the suspension arm mounts. Then I remembered that MEK dissolves CA... and just used my touch and flow to hit each CA-dosed bolt... fittings salvaged...

Keep that tidmit handy guys... MEK (styrene solvent-glue) dissolves superglue (or if you have a steady hand, thins it to flow it into places) and even epoxies like standard 2-part, and even JB-Weld. I haven't tried it on that new Mighty-Putty stiff, but I'll bet it works on that too.

With Tamiya's supposed re-release of the Leo and Gepard... it'll be nice to be able to get spares... and without the extortionist prices of 3-4 times the original sprue cost, or higher.

WhiteWolf

(not dead, just tired from chauffeur duty, and Crohns is active in my throat again...)
(If I promised ya anything, lemme know... memory is crap lately, and I've got the time now, 'k?)
(oh, and YES, I'm cleaning the LCM-3 plans up before i print them for my firtst test cut. Will let you all know how it goes)
