M60A3
One of the coolest IDF tanks theyIsraelis made was a complete rebuild of the M60A3 called the Sabra. pattoncommander can most likely comment on this tank. I just love it. It looks like a cross breed of an M60 and a LEO2, bad ass tank.

Agreed, the Sabra סאברא is a very intimidating tank. Israel up graded the M-60A3 in the mid 1980s and it looks more like an M-1 than a 60. It was fitted with a specially upgraded 120mm gun, thermal sleeve and improved fire control. Added armor was the flat reactive armor plates on the bow, turret and fitted skirts. The AV 1790 dielsel engine was upgraded with 2 superchargers which gave it a speed of 30 mph, but the tank weighed 55 tons. It was used also in Turkey, but the Sabra has been replaced by the Merkava. It would be a nice tank to model, but from what I have read, wasn't used very long.

Still was one cool looking tank. problem is we just dont have anything practical to model it on. you would think some one would have done an M60 by now. but we all say that about alot of tanks we thought they would have made by now.
