Default Finally here - My 1:8 Tiger 1

Hi Guys
Finally arrived from Rusia is my 1:8 Tiger 1 from Bigtanks.de

Still have to buy 12v batteries and a powerfull speaker to get it running, but the snowy weather stops all tank fun at the moment

cheers

Steenv, congratulation's on the large scale Tiger, one thing you will need to do is fit the correct split link in the internal drive chain yours is the same as mine it has a “nut and bolt†this only mild steel and will wear very fast if you run the tank wheels and tracks off the ground you will notice the drive chain going slack between the sprockets you will also notice a notchy feeling when this part of the track comes in contact with the sprockets fit the correct part and it will run very smoothly, the Russian sound unit has facility's for a recoil and also an LED for the MG flash though you will have to have an MG34 barrel turned and fitted with a length of fibre optic.

Hi all

@YHR

Yep, its the fiberglass version from www.bigtanks.de. The time from paying deposits to it finally arrived was 4.5 month which was as promised.

@Thomasjohnmurphy

Price in euro was 2450 = 3230 USD (appx) all included

@Rivercounter

Thanks for the advice. I will try to see if I can find the weak spot. Could you maybe red-circle a picture of where it exactly is the problem is

I have attached the recoil, and also noticed the led wire. Have to drill out the barrel of the MG :-)

cheers
Steen

That's not really too bad, considering with shipping.  Looks like some reinforcement might want to be done in some of the high stress area's, but it is still a very nice piece.

Steen, this is the problem it will be the same on both tracks, split links will be available from company's the supply conveyer belts I cant remember the exact pitch of the chain but it’s slightly larger than a cycle chain.
