Looks great! Looks like you have quite the shop setup as well.
Where did you get the Promax 480s from? I was considering getting a set of those for my Bulldog. I went with a set from ParkFlyers, but it's always good to have options.

Thanks, this is my first tank build so it may not be perfect but I am enjoying the kit very well.
The shop belongs to a friend of mine who is into the Rc hobbies as well, just not tanks. I am usually there almost every day working on something.
The motors I ordered through my local hobby shop, but you can get them from www.maxxprod.com #ACC348 , Or http://rctankwars.com/Products.asp

Here are some pics of my first attempt at camo .I drew the outline lightly in pencil and the rest I did free hand with the airbrush.

RE: My King Tiger build pics
Sorry kinda new on this build tread stuff,
Well lets see ,on the mill I was slotting the holes on the MPI gearbox to fit it on the Tamiya gearbox. To slow down the overall speed of the tank.
On the lathe I was turning some new nylon turret rollers to raise the turret up off the deck a little more as not to scrape the paint off. The originals are approx.7mm and the new ones are 9mm this gives me about 1mm more in hight off the deck.
so far it is working ok

For me it took 6 days from Singapore to Norway.... The ultimate solution for you would be Wecohe metal wheels (to expensive for what you really get) or what I prefer, the Asiatam metal wheels with ballbearing. 69,0 € for the whole set. There is a easy mod to Asiatam wheels to accept 2 bb's in each wheels. I just love the weight and sound they make together with the metal tracks. I have fitted them to my KT, and will also fit them to my ongoing JT build. Just love'm.

RE: My King Tiger build pics
Well here you see I am turning a new drum for the idler arm and slotting the end for the idler arm. It has a 5mm threw bore for the axle and a 9mm counter bore for the arm to fit. I still have to drill and tap for the long spring screw and make 2 set collars.
I have taken the shumo ,daryl and danlrc design and combined them together into my own mess LOL more to come

RE: My King Tiger build pics
Your camo looks great, enjoy watching these builds, wish they would fix the picture problems too, it's making a good build posting look sloppy and it's the sites fault.
Don't give up on showing us what your working on.
Great King Tiger build.

RE: My King Tiger build pics
Today I finished up the idler tension upgrade and after seeing how the idler wheel fits on the axle I decided to get some bearings to fit that as well ,5mmx12mm. I will stack 2 on the axle for more suport then just the cast cup and hub.
Next I put the wheels together with ball bearings ,put them on the hull and painted them camo. I also gave the tracks a little rust color to make them look a little more real.

Nice work.
BTW...what scale is your KT? I thought it was 1:16, but seeing it next to the dryer sticker and the Leopard, I'm thinking it's smaller.
