Question to Canada Tankers...
...first of all.
Guys do you know this producers of sound system "Model Solutions of Canada Ltd"?
Is their sound system compatible with HengLong Tanks? If so do you have any recommendations how to install?

RE: Question to Canada Tankers...
Model Solutions needs to have a standard RC signal to control the varible sound of a tank. It will not work with a standard Heng Long. With A DBC 2 you could use it, but you would have to fashion your own trigger circuits to fully utilize the capability.. The conclusion I reached was that it was too expensive, and required more electrical technical expertise then I had to fully utilize it. It just seemed easier and cheaper to buy El Mod.
Good company, solid offering, just not tailored to the 1/16 tank crowd.

Hello.
"It will not work with a standard Heng Long"
This is so. But if we use a self-made (or standard) Converter - Voltage (Volts) in the PPM - the sound modules are to be understood Heng Long tanks.

So what exaclty does that device do. Take the voltage output to the motors and convert it a signal that the sound board understands??????
Where did you get that????

Why dont you just get a Tamiya or Vs tank and be done with it. You really have to widen your requirements.'
This hobby is very limited as far as what is avialable so sometimes we all have to compromise on some things. Did you check toyeast or any of the other places that sell Vs tanks. They are all over the net, and you can get just about any version of any model they make. no you cant put smoke in them, they shouldnt smoke amny way unless they are on fire.

RE: Question to Canada Tankers...
Yes. You're absolutely right. This board converts the voltage on the motor in a standard pulse PPM standard RC radio control equipment.
These boards were designed to convert helicopter LAMA with brushed motors to the version with brushless motor.
Sold at Hobbiking-Hobbisity dollars for 10.
But, as I understand it, because of the small demand - Hobbiking - Hobbisity stopped them making and selling this product now.
However - any servotester - performs a similar function perfectly and is worth the same $ 10. But requires additional work with a soldering iron.

Interesting. I never knew there ws such a thing.
Care to eleaborate on where you get servotesters and what you have to do to modify them to work?
Thanks

Servotester - there is a standard tool for owners of radio controlled models.

Except for the owners of radio-controlled tanks. I think so - because the firm Tamiya everything is decided for the majority of the owners of radio-controlled tanks. The fact that the firm Tamiya does not sell - then it's not necessary.
Servotester converts the rotation of a variable resistance in pulses of PPM. Change the variable resistance to variable voltage - this is not a very difficult task.
Homemade servotester can be done on-chip timer 555,

or just program some microcontrollers.
The simpler servotester - the easier it from him to make a voltage converter - pulse PPM
Thanks
Sergey
