I hope Mato comes out with a second tank. I just got in a Mato Sherman from MatoMart and it is a neat little tank. The sound is way better than HL, no stupid smoke unit, and the controls seem far more responsive. I'd love to see a second model - I'd buy it! As it is, I am first on MatoMart's list for when they restock the Shermans in March.
If you're listening, Mato Toys.... think BRITISH! A new Churchill model would be just fine!

It is good to see Mato out of stock on the Sherman. An indication people are still buying tanks.

If any one does offer a new tank I'm certain it will be just another rehashed version of something already on the market. No balls do these companies have. None.

Well, in hopes that they intend to surprise us in the future. I'll keep hoping for a Churchill Croc, Merkava Mark I,II,III, or IV, Abrams....I'll even take a Bradley. Anything but the sameold, same hold.

Hope you are right. I'd like to see a Centurian, M-47 or M-48A2/3. Doubt seriously that we will be seing a Merk IV anytime in the near future. That tank is so highly classified that if you are not an Israeli citizen and in uniform, you won't even get close to it. Even with my very close ties to the 188th Brigade commander, I still haven't received any closeup photos I was promised for building a model. A Cromwell would be great but then again, an M-105 would be a killer tank to have. Still waiting to see if any of the promises made by MATO are going to show up. Still contemplating building a T-30 Heavy, but unless I can get my hands on an M-46 engine deck, that's pretty much out.

RE: New 1/16 RC tanks 2011
I would like to see some allied tanks A34 Comet, Cromwell, M10, M18 Hellcat and a Centuriion Mk3. What ever happened to the HL Sherman? The best change is for HL to delete the clanking sound when running the tanks. Recently I sent an e-mail to HL about an idea on a new sound card. Thought it was worth a try. HL doesn't answer
Cheers

Not models, but provisions/parts for conversions....M-10, M-3 Lee/Grant etc. With the intro of VVSS that everyone was waiting for and the way the Shermans were bought up, it would be fair to assume that the other good stuff was going to be following...but nothing as yet. Granted, the electronics are not the best, and all mine have later HL, but still the Sherman is a pretty nice bassis for many conversions.

Regarding Hooben, the elefant is due out in the next couple of months, I have my name down for one and didn't I see photographs a while back from Hooben of thier Maus and E100 projects? Take your pick out of those three offerings. Wish I knew about the rest, sorry.

I think it has already been reported that Mato are releasing a full metal tiger this year. El Mod are also getting into the upgrade game with suspension kits and gearboxes.

Hi Found this It looks like a Heng Long to me but they say its a different manufacturer http://www.promodels.co.uk/taigen-ad...reen-camo.html
If I have it right they are from Taiwan, they have a Panzer 4 as well ,wish they would fit a Tamiya compatible system instead of the BB gun.
regards pete

Looks like all the rest of the 1/16 scale are HL.
It will be interesting to see what these are.
Mention of them coming soon here

Just stumbled on this thread while catching up on Forum posts. Looks like Taigen is some offshoot of HL.

That Taigen Panzer IV looks a lot like the Heng Long ....
Note the slope in the track between the top of the sproket and the first return roller ...Typical of the look of the H.L. panzer IV with the lower sprokets ...

No you read it wrong the Tiger is nothing new it’s coming from the company that has the Sherman’s out already with a petrol engine the electric version has been withdrawn before release as the motors were far too small for a tank of its size they were priced around the 1200€ area but required speed controllers, sound and radio gear and before you get all excited the Tiger has not been released yet they have a few detail issues and it will be the initial version by using the search feature you will find a few posts on the topic
